Scholarships

The Senate of the National Technical University of Athens, bearing in mind Christos Papakyriakopoulos’ love of research in mathematics, decided in 1994 that a significant portion of the income from the H. Papakiriakopoulos to be allocated to the funding of four scholarships for doctoral candidates in the Department of Mathematics (following a call for applications and review of candidates). Dozens of PhD candidates in the Department of Mathematics have completed their doctoral dissertations with this scholarship, many of whom now work as professors at various universities in Greece.
